- My name is Gary Jordan. I’m a Zanesville High School graduate from the class of 1984 and I lived in Zanesville where I attended then named Ohio University, Zanesville Campus until professional opportunities lured me west.
From 1986 until 2006 I was both a domestic and international flight attendant for American Airlines and was based in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco.
In 2006 I launched my own Public Relations firm in Palm Springs California, and quickly amassed an international roster of clients in entertainment as well as arts. I recently returned to my roots to visit family and while here, landed some challenging projects and interesting clients and plan on staying longer than originally intended.
Some of my diverse activities have been Chairman and Co-Chair of AIDS Assistance Program’s annual fund raising event, “Evening under the Stars”, from 2003 through 2005 and was a board member from 1998 through 2003. As Chairman of “Evening under the Stars”, I supervised all aspects of the gala evening of dining and entertainment, from theme and talent to marketing and communications, handling all television, radio and press relations. I also produced AAP’s “Desert Hoedown” and was the first to organize a Christmas party for children whose parents are clients of the AIDS Assistance Program.
I also participated in the successful launch of two editions of Odyssey Magazine, the fastest growing alternative lifestyle and entertainment magazine, A Northwest edition covering Portland, Seattle and Vancouver (June, ’03), and a Brazilian edition covering Rio de Janeiro and So Paulo (June, ’05) as well as an Argentinean edition covering Buenos Aries (June, ’06) I handled staff hiring, public relations and production coordination for Odyssey’s new editions. I’m currently concentrating on my public relations firm and on my continuing charitable endeavors.
